A completed search of the catalogue will produce an overview showing the
Reference Number, Title, Date and Description of all records that match the
search term. You can sort the list of results according to the field of your
choice by clicking on the column header. To view a full record description,
click on any part of the record. Use the back button on your browser to return
to the search results overview.
Along with detailed descriptions of the documents and files in the archive,
the catalogue also includes descriptions of entire collections. As well as
viewing your search results in an overview it also possible to use the catalogue
to browse the context of the records. Archives are usually arranged in
collections called ‘fonds’ and then sub-divided into ‘sub-fonds’ and ‘series’.
