For more than thirty years since it was established in 1973, Doncaster
Archives has taken a remarkable variety of records into its safekeeping.
Using the online catalogue you can search for information from a wide range
of these archival sources, including local government records, school
records, church and parish records, business records, estate papers, the
records of local clubs, societies, voluntary organisations, political
parties and trade unions, solicitors’ records, as well as maps and
photographs relating to the local area.
The catalogue is updated on a regular basis. All collections held by the
service have a general description including title, covering dates and brief
description of contents.
Please remember, however, that the catalogue is very much a work in
progress. If you do not find what you are looking for, it does not mean that
we don’t have relevant material. For further details of our holdings please
contact us:

We also have a separate
Place Name Index,
and many of our collections are listed on the
The National Archives Discovery
web-site.
