DescriptionThe big sheet is signed by Bill McLaren and has notes on the reverse. It has three section cut from it, including the extra information about some of Ireland's players and all of their replacements. It is accompanied by a cutting from the sheet, notes, including an introduction to and description of the game and information about previous matches between the teams, a programme and cuttings from the Glasgow Herald, The Scotsman, The Irish Times, The Cork Examiner and other unidentified newspapers.

The bundle also includes a handwritten description of the match between Scotland and Ireland held at Murrayfield on 21 March 1981 and newspaper cuttings relating to the earlier match between Scotland and Ireland at Murrayfield on 27 February 1971.

This match was part of the Five Nations Championship. The score was Ireland 21 - 12 Scotland. The big sheet records:
