DescriptionThe big sheet has a section cut from it and notes on the reverse, including comments on Bill McLaren's copy of the telegraph being sold. It is accompanied by a score sheet, a programme, an issue of the Sports and Football Echo and cuttings from the Western Mail, The Daily Telegraph and other unidentified newspapers. One of the cuttings is a report by McLaren entitled 'Wales extended their unbeaten home record'. The bundle also includes accounts of Bill McLaren's expenses for this game and Wales v. Scotland at the Cardiff Arms Park on 19 January 1974.
This match was part of the Five Nations Championship. The score was Wales 25 - 9 England. The big sheet records:
