- Note from Ruth of Malone Rugby Football Club sent with a programme.
- Letter from John MacDonald to Bill McLaren regarding Nigel Melville's education at Aireborough Grammar School, dated 21 Feb 1983.
- Letter from Ceri Davies to Mr McLaren regarding the family tradition of playing halfbacks and asking McLaren to redress an inaccuracy in his commentary during an earlier match concerning his father's position if Huw Davies, his brother, is picked for the match, dated 8 February 1984.
- Letter from Alastair McMillan to Bill McLaren regarding his commentaries on Ireland's matches and sending him a clipping from the Irish Times [attached] showing that the captain of the Irish rugby team, Ciaran Fitzgerald, is a Commandant, dated 5 February 1985.
