DescriptionThe big sheet has notes on the reverse concerning Bill McLaren's commentary, his mail after the broadcast and a comment overheard on the Cardiff to London train. It is accompanied by notes describing the score, a programme, an account of McLaren's expenses and cuttings from The Sunday Telegraph and other unidentified newspapers. The bundle also contains a letter from A. E. Gwyer, Manager of the Angel Hotel, Cardiff, to McLaren confirming a room booking, dated 16 February 1965.

This match was part of the Five Nations Championship. The score was Wales 14 - 8 Ireland. The big sheet records:
