DescriptionThe big sheet is signed by Bill McLaren, has a section cut from it and a quotation and notes on the reverse. It is accompanied by a programme, notes describing the score, an account of McLaren's expenses and cuttings from The Scotsman and other unidentified newspapers. One of the cuttings is a report by Bill McLaren entitled 'Scots play big part in centenary victory'.

The match was part of the Irish Rugby Football Union's centenary season. The score was Ireland and Scotland 17 - 10 England and Wales. The big sheet records:
