DescriptionThe big sheet is signed by Bill McLaren and has notes on the reverse concerning the game, which was held in aid of the Queen's Jubilee Trust Fund and was the Lions' first official appearance in Great Britain. The notes highlight that Prince Charles, who was chairman of the fund, attended the match and include a quotation from Jim Sherwin regarding rugby laws. It is accompanied by an annotated programme, notes, including an introduction to the match, an account of McLaren's expenses and cuttings from The Daily Telegraph and other unidentified newspapers. The cuttings cover this match and other Barbarians' [Barbarian F.C.] fixtures against the East Midlands, Penarth, Swansea and Cardiff.
