Description | The big sheet is signed by Bill McLaren and has notes on the reverse regarding this match and an earlier contest between the same teams at Twickenham on 20 March 1971. As well as commenting on the matches, the notes highlight that the Prince of Wales and Prime Minister Edward Heath met both teams and list who Bette, McLaren's wife, met at a cocktail party. It is accompanied by notes introducing the game, a draft report, a score sheet, a programme signed by McLaren and cuttings from The Glasgow Herald, The Sunday Times, The Scotsman and other unidentified newspapers. The bundle also includes a schedule for Prince Charles' visit. This Centenary Match commemorated the first ever international rugby football match. The score was Scotland 26 - 6 England.
