ActivityLock / ail reng, a line-out specialist, played for Cross Keys RFC, Newport RFC, Barbarian FC, Llanelli (1 game), Vichy, Wales (1961-1969, 32 caps, 0 points) and the British and Irish Lions (1966, 4 caps, 0 points). Wales claimed the Triple Crown in 1969, though Price missed the 30-9 win over England with injury, and only an 8-8 draw in France denied them a Grand Slam. Price was also part of the 1965 Triple Crown-winning side. He captained the Newport team that beat Wilson Whineray's touring All Blacks of 1963-64 3-0, the All Blacks' only loss of their tour. Price toured Australia and New Zealand with the British and Irish Lions in 1966, playing in all four Test matches. Commentated for BBC Radio Wales and was head of PE at Caldicot Comprehensive School. Appointed president of the former players association in 2006. The attribtion of the initials E V are solely based on their presence in the programme Scotland v Wales, Murrayfield, 2 February 1963.
