TitleLetters from Charles Darwin to John Stevens Henslow
DescriptionOriginally, a volume of letters, from Darwin to Henslow, in Cambridge, now 44 loose letters. The letters cover the period from when Darwin was negotiating his position on 'HMS Beagle', his time on 'HMS Beagle', up until shortly after his return to England. There is also a small number of letters from other members of the Darwin family to Henslow. The original volume included a Joseph Hooker bookplate, which is held with these letters. There is also a panel containing original seals from the letters.
