DescriptionThe termination of the voyage has been decided and they hope this to be September 1836. Darwin discusses the devastating effects he has witnessed from the earthquake in Concepción. He discusses his geological observations (since November) and can now prove both sides of the Andes have recently risen to considerable heights. He has a large zoological collection of minute Diptera & Hymenoptera from Chiloe and is making plans to cross the Cordilleras.
