DescriptionDarwin writes of his joy at the prospect of the journey’s end in eight months’ time. He gives his observations of Australia where they have now arrived. He reports on his collecting in the Galapagos, including the flora and its very curious birds, also how he finds the geology very instructive and amusing. He has been to Tahiti and New Zealand and comments on the good work the missionaries are doing there.
