TitleLetter from Charles Darwin, [36 Great Marlborough Street], to John Stevens Henslow
DescriptionDarwin tells Henslow he is to read a short account of his views on Wednesday [his paper on the formation of coral islands at the Geological Society] and that Lyell seems prepared to give up his crater theory. Henslow and Robert Brown have both shown interest in the edible fungi he collected from Tierra del Fuego. Plans to publish his narrative have become definite, but now Darwin feels he should have published his journal after he published the geology and zoology.
