Where is the Queen’s University Archive located?

The Queen's University Archive is located in Special Collections and Archives, Floor 1, The McClay Library, Queen's University, Belfast. Records from the University Archive collection are viewed in the Special Collection and Archives Reading Room.

Is an appointment needed in order to view the records?

An appointment is needed prior to a research visit being made. Once an appointment is made records from the Queen’s University Archive are available to view in the Special Collections Reading Room, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, records from the University Archive cannot be viewed after 5pm or at weekends.

Can records from the Queen’s University Archive be copied?

All requests for copies of records in the Queen’s University Archive have to be made to the Archivist, Ursula Mitchel u.mitchel@qub.ac.uk and are dependent upon the physical condition of the item and any copyright restrictions.

A Scanning Request Form must be completed for all requests for copies of documents that are to be used for private research purposes only and a Publication/Film Request Form must be completed if the records from the University Archive are to be included in a publication or film, http://libguides.qub.ac.uk/specialcollections/forms
