Title	Standing Conference on Schools Science and Technology (SCSST)
Description	SCSST was founded in 1971 as the Schools Science and Technology Committee to encourage, through local Science and Technology Centres, the education of boys and girls for life in an industrial society, and to promote the teaching of applied science and technology in schools. The 1851 Commission contributed towards the maintenance of the SCSST's central co-ordinating committee for the years 1973-75 and 1979-81.
