Description
Correspondence, 1910, 1952, 1956-63, 1967-71, concerning the granting of a licence to the Mayfair Automobile Company to convert the stables at 43 into a garage for housing private motor cars (1910); the Commission's refusal to agree to the extension of business user for 43 (1952); the expiry of the leases in the Mews; the contravention of user by Mr. J.W. Whitlock of the London Trimming Company at 39, 42 and 43 and the formulation of two agreements with him letting five garages for a period of 18 months only; the settlement of a dilapidations claim on 39, 42 and 43; the termination of Mr. Whitlock's occupation at 39, 42 and 43; repairs and decorations to 4 garages at 39 and 42; difficulties experienced over obtaining possession of 43 from one of its tenants, Mrs. E.M. Seel; the sale of 43 and the granting of a licence to make alterations; the wish expressed by the Yugoslav Embassy to buy 39 and 42 and their continued interest in 42 alone after the decision by the tenants of 39 not to move; repair work to 39 and to the water main outside; negotiations over the tenancy of the garage of 39.
