Description
The collection of press cuttings is of a general historical nature and concerns mainly the Commissioners' Estate or related organisations or matters, e.g. The British School at Rome, the National Physical Laboratory, the Commissioners' scholarships' schemes, control of atomic energy, government scientific policy, etc. Press cuttings can also be found elsewhere in the archive, e.g. amongst the 1851 Exhibition correspondence (reports on the Opening, etc.) on individual files of scholars and fellows (obituaries), and with Crystal Palace (at Sydenham), 58.
