Description
Memorandum, 1902, to the 1851 Commissioners from the Duke of Devonshire, Mr Balfour and Lord Rosebery on the idea of establishing a new technological institution at South Kensington - the 'Charlottenburg Scheme'. Correspondence, 1902-08, concerning the memorandum, the negotiations with the Board of Education on the creation of Imperial College, and the acquisition by Imperial College of the old site of the School of Needlework in addition to sites already acquired from the Commissioners for the new College. Copy of the Charter of Incorporation of Imperial College.
