17 Nov 1853 Mr Gladstone to Prince Albert
Description
Copy of a letter concerning the siting of the Barracks and Gladstone's intention to keep the Portman Street Barracks for another year. Prince Albert states that it would be better to sell some of the Kensington land to purchase a site for the barracks elsewhere rather than to allow the barracks to move to Kensington. He states that the Ordnance would not object to Burlington House.
