Description | Letter in which Granville expresses his dismay at the articles in the press, which he blames on Playfair, re the disputes amongst members of the juries. He expresses a wish that Queen Victoria does not present the awards incase something "disagreeable" should occur. He has told Cole that the Executive Committee should not be seen as supporters of the idea of keeping the Crystal Palace in situ after the Exhibition. |
