1. Concerning the difficulty caused by visitors to the Exhibition having to sign on admission. The problem is exacerbated by women having to sign in their own right which involves the removal of gloves, some of them will object to the pen and some will be unable to write whilst anyone is looking at them. [Access, entrances]
2. Concerning the mistakes being made on foreign language signs in London shops. The writer suggests that this is caused by teaching girls foreign languages "among other trifles".
Also an article detailing military preparations for the Exhibition.
