AdminHistorySamuel Allsopp & Sons Ltd, [Brewers] of The Brewery, Burton-on-Trent had agents offices in Sheffield, namely the East India & Burton Ale Stores at 16 Market Street, Fitzallen Square, Sheffield. In 1961, together with Joshua Tetley, Leeds and Ansells Brewery, Birmingham Ind Coope & Allsopp founded Allied Breweries. In 1978, J. Lyons was acquired and Allied Breweries changed its name to Allied Lyons in 1981.
