AdminHistoryDenby Street Nursery opened in May 1928 with 24 places - the first nursery school in Sheffield. The school was extended in 1931 and the student roll rose to 170. Student attended the school from the age of 3 until the ages of 4 or 5 at which point they would transfer to a range of different infant or primary school.

At the Sheffield City Council Cabinet meeting of 15 January 2003 it was decided to amalgamate the school with Sharrow Nursery Infant School. It is believed this took effect in 2004.
