At page 85 (Jul 1918) reference is made to the first meeting of the Juvenile Employment Committee.
At pages 329-330 (Nov 1918) there is a report on the training of disabled sailors and soldiers in printing and kindred trades.
At page 346 (Dec 1918) there is a report of the head master of King Edward VII School ‘… I deeply regret to report that of all the boys of military age who have been members of the School since it opened in 1905, more than one out of every ten has laid down his life for his country. As to military honours, one out of every twenty has received special recognition …' The report goes on to refer to a scholarship (tenable at Sydney Sussex College, Cambridge) funded by Mr A Sells of Ranmoor Crescent in memory of the boys who fell. |
