AdminHistory | The Works Committee was established in 1968. It assumed the responsibilities formerly held by the former Highways and Sewerage Committee (apart from those areas transferred to the Transport and Traffic Committee), Public Works (Buildings) Committee and the Cleansing and Baths Committee (except those responsibilities passed to the Recreation Committee).
In 1981 the Works Committee was abolished and its responsibilities transferred to the Policy Committee, however it appears the Committee was re-established in 1985. |
