The Articles of Government for County Secondary Schools issued by the Local Education Authority for the City and County Borough of Sheffield in 1964, pursuant to the Education Act, 1944, s.17, reorganised
the groupings from Groups 1-10 to Groups A-G

Group A: Coleridge Road Boys' High School, Coleridge Road Girls High School, Firth Park Grammar School, Hartley Brook High School, Hatfield House Lane High School, Hinde House Comprehensive School, Park House High School, Shiregreen High School;

Group B: Abbeydale Boys' Grammar School, Abbeydale Girls' Grammar School, Abbeydale
Secondary School, Brincliffe Grammar School, Grange Grammar School, King Ecgbert Technical School;

Group C: Crosspooll Secondary School, Greystones Secondary School, High Storrs Boys' Grammar School, High Storrs Girls' Grammar School, King Edward VII School, Silverdale Secondary School, Tapton Secondary School, Western Road Secondary School.

Group D: Burngreave Boys' High School, Burngreave Girls' High School, Chaucer Comprehensive School, Myers Grove Comprehensive School, Owler Lane High School, Shirecliffe High School, Southey Green High School, Wisewood Secondary School.

Group E: Gleadless Valley Secondary School, Jordanthorpe Boys' Secondary School, Jordanthorpe Girls' Secondary School, Newfield Boys' Secondary School, Newfield Girls' Secondary School, Rowlinson Technical School.

Group F: Central Technical School, Hurlfield Boys' Secondary School, Hurlfield Girls' Secondary School, Norfolk Secondary School, Prince Edward Secondary School, Wybourn Secondary School.

Group G: Beaverhill Secondary School, Brook Secondary School, City Grammar School, Pipworth Road Secondary School, Waltheof Secondary School, Woodthorpe Secondary School.

Meetings of Governors were to be held at least once in each term.
