| Description | Thornbridge Hall was bought by Sheffield Corporation in 1946 and was used as a College of Education from 1948 until 1971 when it merged with Totley Hall Training College on the Totley site. Totley Hall Training College was opened in 1950. With the City College of Education, Totley-Thornbridge became part of the Polytechnic in 1976. |
