AdminHistory | Inter alia the Local Government Provisional Order (No.16) - Sheffield Order (No.2) allowed the Corporation to extend the period for the redemption of Corporation Stock, issued in respect of borrowing power under the Housing of the Working Classes Acts, to a period not exceeding 80 years. The Order also altered the Corporation Act of 1898 to enable the Corporation to raise loans by stock under the Corporation Acts of 1883 and 1889.
The Corporation was authorised to use the footpath, which originally formed part of the parish churchyard, as part of Church Street.
It was also authorised that the Corporation could increase its contribution towards payment of a band or bands of music (authorised originally by the 1900 Corporation Act) by the sum of £100. |
