AdminHistoryDoncaster Amalgamated Collieries was formed on 9 Feb 1937 by the Staveley Group with an authorised capital of £7.75 million. The company comprised Brodsworth Main, Bullcroft Main, Hickleton Main, Markham Main, Yorkshire Main and Firbeck Main Collieries. The company also incorporated the Doncaster Collieries Association Limited which was a buying and selling organisation, previously set up by the Staveley Group.

The company worked the collieries until nationalisation in 1947.
