| Description | Arranged in original files, numbered 1-145: the files were not arranged in any particular order, and were originally listed in date order of the leases of each company (J&J Charlesworth Ltd to 1923; Stewarts & Lloyds Ltd to 1936; and Tinsley Park Colliery Co thereafter). Many of the plans accompanying leases of J & J Charlesworth were compiled in 1923, when Stewarts & Lloyds acquired the collieries. Files 2, 21, 23, 29, 101-102 are empty. It seems the contents were transferred to the NCB regional officer in 1948. File 19 was in two (unrelated) parts. The files mainly comprise copy and draft deeds with plans and some with correspondence. |
