TitleDouglas Vickers Scholarship Trust
AdminHistoryThe Douglas Vickers Scholarship Trust was established in 1908 to commemorate Douglas Vickers' year of office as Master Cutler.

The Scholarship was tenable at Sheffield University and to be awarded, originally, to a male employee working at the River Don Works between the ages of 16 and 18 whose father was also an employee (or retired employee) of the company. The criteria was later revised and by the 1930s, to qualify, candidates had to be a male under the age of 21 employed at one of the Sheffield Works of English Steel Corporation Limited, whose father was also in the employ (or retired) from the company.

The Scholarship paid for a year's tuition (evening classes) at Sheffield University in metallurgy or engineering.
