| Description | Note: this account book (referenced JC/1715) originally came to the Sheffield Central Library along with JC/1714 in one dilapidated volume. Two loose leaves of constables accounts had been separated from the main mass and catalogued separately as 1241a. This number has since been discarded and the separate pages reunited with the rest of the constables accounts. The original dilapidated volume was split into two separate volumes as follows:
JC/1714 - Churchwardens and Constables accounts for Dore and Totley, 1739 - 1827;
JC/1715 - Overseers of the Poor accounts for Dore and Totley, 1732 - 1772, and accounts of the Acting Trustees for the land on Ronset Common, 1768 - 1811. |
