An indenture dated 12th March 1711/12 is quoted, by which Joseph Ashmore of Sheffield, yeomen, in return for £69 received from John Bright, due from John Fowler, and £11 paid by John Bright to John Fowler leased to John Bright for the remainder of a term of nine hundred years the house in Richmond in which John Fowler dwells, a close called the Narr Richmond Field and two Little Crofts or Closes.
This land was mortgaged to John Bright by John Fowler in 1708, together with a tenement, a croft, the Lane Side Close, the Barley Close, the Nether Close, in Richmond , for £80.
All this property is now assigned to John Woodrove for £85 6s (principal and interest) paid to John Bright, and £14 4s paid to John Fowler.
