Title	Charter, dated at Hopton [Derbyshire], confirming a grant from Richard son of Thomas son of Hugh to John son of Richard de Hopton junior, of a messuage with outbuildings etc in Hopton; and a plot of ground called le Botherod with meadow and wood, which he had of the gift of Thomas de Heton.
Description	Date: Tuesday next after the Feast of Saint John the Baptist, 1341. Witnesses: Hugh de Hesteburgh (?), John de Lascels, William Bythewatre, Adam de Deneby, John son of John de Hopton. Vellum: one skin, seal missing. Notes: the following memorandum is endorsed, "sicut Radulfus fil Thome fil Hugonis concessit Johi fil Ric de Hopton certis ... in Hopton voc le bothrod" ; but in the charter the grantor is Richard and not Ralph.
