This deed seems to be an English counterpart of the Latin original, JC/698, since the purporse and effect of both deeds are the same, and the personal names, place names, names of witnesses and seals are the same in both; but on this counterpart there is no memorandum endorsed recording the livery of seisin and there is one witness, John Bamforth, who did not attest the original.
