| AdminHistory | Arthur Clover started his business in 1948 with £50 'de-mob' money, intially carrying out repair and decoration work. He operated his building contractors' business from his home address until 1959, when he opened an office on Broadfield Road, changing the company name to Arthur Clover (Contractors) Ltd. In 1971 the firm became known as Clover Contractors Ltd.
Extensive records were kept by the firm covering the tendering process as well as the construction work carried out. The main series of records is the accounts series, which was supplemented by the information files kept by the firm, a representative sample of which has been retained. |
