Description | Registers include: summons number; name of informant or complainant; name of defendant (and sometimes age); nature of offence or matter of complaint; date of offence or matter of complaint; plea; minute of adjudication (including fines, costs or other orders).
A concurrent series of registers exists for the years 1913-1950. Entries for sessions on the same date, but held before different magistrates, appear in separate registers. From 1951 sessions held in different courts are recorded chronologically in single registers by year (or part thereof). From 1977 the court number, judges' and clerks' names, and the date and time of the hearing are recorded.
Registers from November 1985 comprise bound computer print outs.
Note: there is a gap in this series between Jan 1915 and Feb 1917. |
