It is believed that the Society was wound up in 2004 (The alliance.midweek.org.uk website) refers: "One other main proposal will see the merger of the League and Cup Fees into one League fee inclusive of cup entry. Clubs will still be able to opt out of playing in the cup. This has been brought about by the Darnall Medical Aid Society no longer being in existence and so with it the need to keep the profits from the cup in a separate account". |
