AdminHistoryThe Wilson family of Broomhead Hall in Sheffield date back to the reign of Richard II (1367 - 1400). The first Wilson to settle at Broomhead was a John Wilson in the early to mid 15th century. The family married into various other prominent families including the Macros and the Rimingtons. Members of the family were involved in many different trades. One was involved in the Civil War while another later desendant played cricket for Yorkshire.
