| Description | The first minutes are for an informal meeting held in the offices of Sheffield Regional Hospital Board; subsequent meetings were held at Fir Vale Infirmary then from May 1949 meetings were held at Nether Edge Hospital.
In October 1948 the Committee recommended the appointment of a finance sub-committee, a general purposes sub-committee (from April 1951 the executive sub-committee), a staff and establishment sub-committee and an engineering and maintenance services sub-committee, also three hospital visiting committees, one for each hospital. In April 1950 House Committees for each of the City General Hospital, Fir Vale Infirmary and Nether Edge Hospital were set up and minutes of these meetings and of the sub-committee meetings are included.
Later also included are the minutes of the nursing advisory sub-committee, nursing education sub-committee, group medical advisory committee and executive committee of the group medical advisory committee.
