TitleWill and probate of Samuel Drake of Horley Greene in the parish of Hallifax, son of John Drake late of the same, deceased
Description<head>Scope and Content</head><p>Agreement made with his brother Francis for the settling of all claims etc. on him as executor of his father&apos;s will for £600. He bequeaths £120 to his nephew John (son of his deceased brother Daniel) to be paid when he reaches 21 with interest, and if he dies before he is 21 then the money to be equally divided between John, Thomas, and Francis the brothers of Samuel. Bequest of 20s. to his cousin Humphrey Drake and to the poor of Northowram. £20 to his brother Thomas and to his brother John. The residue of his estate to be equally divided between his brothers John, Thomas and Francis John Drake, his brother, to be sole executor.</p><p>Will, 6th December, 1624.</p><p>Probate, 6th March, 1626/27.</p><p>Faculty. Latin. Appoints Thomas Drake, rector of the parish church of Thornton to be guardian of John, son of Daniel and Mary Drake, late of Northowrom in the parish of Hallifax, deceased, who is under age. 7th March, 1626/7.</p>
