Description<head>Scope and Content</head><p>Thomas Bagshaw of Middleton by Wirksworth, gentleman, and Susannah his wife, to Richard Bagshaw of Castleton. One full third part of a messuage with croft adjoining and of another messuage and of closes called the Upper and Nether Pitts, Magatha Close or Magothhay Close, Cow Closes, Bate Lowages, Great Lowages, Rushey Acres, Moor Lowages in the parish of Norton (late the estate of Mr. Samuel Wood), together with a third part of Stanefield House and other messuages and of Norrwood Close or Nearwood Close, Broad Close, Long Close, Tang Close, Little Close, Storth Close, Goose Lands, all at Cold Aston in Dronfield. Released against Thomas and Susannah, Samuel Wood late brother of Susannah and John and Mary Wood (both deceased), late father and mother of Susannah; for £550; excepting indentures of mortgage made to John Thornhill in demise for 500 years and later assigned to Grace and Mercy Hurt for securing payment of £500.</p>
