Description<head>Scope and Content</head><p>Edward Gill of Carrhouse in Gresbrough (co. York), gentleman, to Jonathan Staniforth of Rotherham, ironmonger and William Boyer of Carr house, yeoman. Messuage in Carleton in the parish of Aubrough in Holderness (co. York), with buildings, lands, etc., and ten acres of meadow in a common meadow called Hanwith in Holderness, which Gill purchased of John Beedall and now in the occupation of John Beedell, his son; a parcell of meadow in Kimberworth (Yorks.) called Heandley; a close in Whittington (Derbys.) called Butcher Owlers. To be held by the trustees for raising £300 each for the portions of Elizabeth and Ruth Gill, and then to descend to Henry Gill (daughters and one of the sons of the grantor); in accordance with the will of Henry Westby concerning certain property mortgaged by John Frecheville in Staveley and Staveley Park for £1600 and now redeemed by him.</p>
