Description | <head>Scope and Content</head><p>The Hon. Sir Archibald Grant of Monymusks in the County of Aberdeen, baronet, to the Rev. Edward Bagshaw, vicar of the parish and parish church of Castleton (co. Derby), clerk, Michael Hall, miner, churchwarden and overseer of the poor, and their successors the vicars and Churchwardens of the parish of Castleton. A tenement in Castleton late in the possession of Sampson Wilson or John Wilson, to receive the rents and apply them to the benefit of two poor scholars to be taught at the free school there, in accordance with the will of Charles Potts, late of Castleton, who left £20 to be laid out for this purpose; reserving to Grant and his heirs the right to choose the said scholars, who are to be appointed from among those who work in Potts' share of Oden Grove mines.</p> |
