Dr. John Fountayne, Dean of York, acting executor of the last will of Lionel Copley of Sprotbrough and Joseph Copley (heretofore Moyle) of Sprotbrough, esquire, residuary legatee named in the will and John Taylor of Sheffield, mason, and Anna Maria his wife (as the mortgagors), to Godfrey Higgins of Doncaster, esquire, nephew and heir-at-law of Lionel and a legatee of the will. The principal sum of £800 secured on the mortgaged property, in part payment of the £6,000 and £900 bequeathed to Higgins by Lionel Copley's will and a codicil, after the decease of Mrs. Martha Clarke of Sprotbrough, spinster (who died in April last past).</p> |
