Description<head>Scope and Content</head><p>Alexander Radcliffe of Fox Denton (co. Lancaster) and Elizabeth, his wife to Henry Balguy of Derwent Hall and Samuel Bagshaw of Ford; John Bagshaw of Great Hucklow also being a party. Messuage in Norton, with the Barn Croft, Chantry Croft, Schoolhouse Croft, Upper and Nether Knowles, Little Hasslebarrow, Nether and Upper Stubbing and other named properties in Norton; a spring wood in Dronfield and named property in Fox Denton and Chatterton in Lancashire, the latter being bequeathed to Alexander Radcliffe under the will of Mary Byrom of Salford. To be held to raise £80 a year from the Norton and Dronfield states and £40 from the Lancashire estates in lieu of jointure; for £1,750 dower.</p>
