Description<head>Scope and Content</head><p>John Hartley, late of Gilkirke and now of Barnoldswick Coates, gentleman, to Richard Waddington of Horton in the parish of Gisburne, gentleman, and Edward Starborough of Carlton-in-Craven, gentleman. Messuage where he dwells, a lath or barn and three closes and other closes (named), two other messuages, two mansions or dwellings and one cottage with various closes (named), all in Barnoldswick. To the use of himself and his wife, Mary, or the longer liver and then to the use of his younger children, John, Mary, Elizabeth, Bernard, Barbara, Frances and Jane; in accordance with certain articles made between him and his son and heir, Richard Hartley.</p>
