Description<head>Scope and Content</head><p>Theophilus Skelton of Wakefield, esquire, and others, trustees under an Act of Parliament for disposing of the estates of Christopher Lister, esquire, deceased, for paying his debts etc., to William Drake of Coates Hall.</p><p>Messuage and closes (named) all in the parish of Thornton (Yorks.); for £448. Reciting (in part) the will of Christopher Lister and subsequent disposal of his estates in Thornton, Midhope, Swinden, Earby, Killbrooke, Handen, Gisborne etc., in Craven. Sir Arthur and George Kaye agree to levy a fine of the premises. Drake undertakes to pay the annual rent of 4 shillings to Sir Arthur Kaye, then to George Kaye, then to his sons (in order of birth), and in default of issue to the right heirs of Thomas Lister.</p>
