Description<head>Scope and Content</head><p>Robert Ashe of Chestrefeld, clerk, to Richard Blyth of Norton, Martin Eyre of Begwell [Bakewell], Robert Ne[-]ham of Wormhyll and Ralph Longden of Blyth. A tenement at the end of the new fond (?novo foro, i.e. new market) of Chesterfeld near the Westbarre, and a close called Saynt Mareleys in the fee of Brampton in the occupation of John Busby, with 2 acres of land lying above the Loundhyll; and also 5 acres of land in the fee of Gaythorp with appurtenances, to hold of the lords of the fees according to the services and customs. Witnesses: Richard Ashe, Richard Furnor, William Hervy, Philip Hethcote, Thomas Lyngate, Richard Smyth, chaplain, and Robert Brodhed. At Chesterfeld.</p><p>Schedule attached stating that the feoffees of the deed are to allow Johanna, late wife of John Ashe of Chesterfeld, deceased, to enjoy the profits and occupy the premises during her life; and at her death they are to convey the lands to the lawfully begotten heirs of Robert Ashe, or in default of such to the right heirs of John, father of the said Robert.</p>
